Plane trees: 1270m x 4 planted in 1931
Plaque:
These plane trees were planted in 1931 as part of a graduation memorial. On August 6, 1945, the Tenma public school was completely destroyed by the atomic bombing. Everything was burnt, and many of the children and teachers were in attendance. The plane trees were quite scarred by the thermal radiation from the blast, and there are gaping holes as well.
This tree is located at the end of the playground by the fence.
