Located on the NW side of RCC between the Hiroshima castle moat and the remains of the Hiroshima Military School.
It is on the walking path around the outerside of the moat between Hiroshima Castle (W) and the Law Court Apartments (E).
Most students, who were aged 13 to 14, had been evacuated to the countryside at the time of the bombing.

Plaque:
This camphor tree withstood the atomic bombing on August 6th, 1945.
The deflection midway is considered to be an effect on the atomic bomb.
