Weeping Willow: 2150m
Plaque:
This Weeping Willow withstood the atomic bombing on August 6, 1945.
A second plaque reads:
The fires of the atomic bomb extended as far as this blameless willow tree, changing it into the embodyment of pain. Yet when spring came, new buds sprang forth and in summer, the leaves unfurled as the willow provided cooling shade. The tree has grown well right up to present day. The willow teaches us to respect the strength of life. Everyone should do their part to preserve this tree.
